Hillview Church of God Home Study with Sister Debbie Earnheart

Hello and Welcome to our new home study for our children’s ministry program.

I am so excited to be sharing with you this study “JESUS ROCKS”, the reason I picked this title is to show you how awesome Jesus is. We will journey together with our home and church family as we continue to be in our homes this season. Life is looking a lot different than usual for most of us in ministry. This global pandemic is an experience unlike any other but so is the love of Jesus. So, are you ready to read about what’s to come?

Let’s take a look.

Meet my Father: Jesus Christ is the Son of God and he is called by many names.

Fun Time: Find all the different names of God and Jesus.

Scriptures Reading: Genesis , read chapter 1 & 2

John 8:48-59

Biblical Insight: Jehovah, a form of the Hebrew name of God used in some translations of the Bible.

YHWH/YHVH, Yahweh is translated in English versions, “the LORD, the God of heaven”.

Prayer: “Trust in the Lord always, for the Lord God is the eternal Rock”. Isaiah26:4

The Bible: I was told that the bible is divine inspiration and a record of relationships between God and humans. (That’s Us.)

New words: Make a list of words while you are reading and do some research.

Crafting: I would hope this would be a family time project, the possibility of a whole new way to have fun. The crafts will also have some individual projects too.

Give Thanks: “Praise the Lord”, tell yourself that you are loved, tell your family how special they are to you, Be Thankful.
